My Background

I have been a proud Sayreville resident for 22 years, and during that time Sayreville has become much more than the place I live—it is my home and my community. I care deeply about its future and especially about the quality of education and opportunities we provide to the next generation.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and spent two years teaching, an experience that gave me an appreciation for both the responsibility of educators and the importance of a strong relationship between teachers, students, and parents.

I am also a small-business owner, managing a transportation business. Running a business has taught me the importance of responsibility, budgeting, accountability, customer service, and making careful decisions about how money is spent.

As a husband and father, I understand that parents want what is best for their children. They want their children to be safe, respected, challenged academically, and prepared for life after graduation.

My community involvement has also included organizing church trips and volunteering as a Sunday School teacher in the church communities. These experiences strengthened my belief in service, respect for others, personal responsibility, and bringing people together even when we may not agree on every issue.

Why I Am Running

Meet Atef Ghaly for Sayreville Board of Education # 1

Parents • Teachers • Together

I am running for the Sayreville Board of Education because I believe our children deserve an excellent education, our teachers deserve support, and parents deserve a meaningful voice in the decisions affecting their children.

I believe strong schools are built when parents, teachers, administrators, and the community work together with one goal: giving every student the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.

That belief is the heart of my campaign:

Parents Teachers Together — Strong Schools, Brighter Futures.

Our Shared Vision

When parents and teachers work as partners, our kids get the school district they deserve. That's the heart of 'Parents Teachers Together'.
